Ahlan wa Sahlan!

This blog is designed to provide a resource to any undergraduate students from the United States looking to study Arabic in the Middle East or North Africa!  This blog is primarily oriented towards UW-Madison students, which is why UW-Madison programs are listed towards the top, but I hope that this can be a resource to any students looking for opportunities to study Arabic abroad.

After studying abroad in Spring 2010, I received a Gilman Scholarship to study abroad in Fes, Morocco.  The Gilman Scholarship offers scholarships to students of with financial need, with a focus on assisting underrepresented student groups who desire to study in “non-traditional” locations.  There are additional critical language awards offered.  This blog is my follow-on project, designed to encourage and assist other students in researching opportunities to study abroad in the Middle East or North Africa.

This blog will list various study abroad opportunities, offered through the University of Wisconsin – Madison, other universities and through study abroad providers.  Each entry will provide basic information and a small summary of the program.  This site is for informational purposes only.  I can make no guarantees of the accuracy of the information and programs may change or be discontinued – so please be sure to check with the institution that offers the program for accurate information.
